Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we reside in Sonoma County and occupy the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of indigenous people. The Southern Pomo, Coastal Miwok, and Graton Rancheria people were stewards of these lands generations before Spanish and European colonization.

In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm indigenous sovereignty, history, and experiences. We are committed to showing our reverence through appreciation of this land and all it has gifted us.

Furthermore, we understand that simply acknowledging is not enough. We strive to honor indigenous peoples and their ancestors through the continuous learning, celebration, and teaching of the true history of the land we occupy.
